The drums from Panda Drum are the best ones. I have bought some from Amazon and they do not have beautiful tones that Panda Drums do. And the customer service is phenomenal. They are so interested in customers and their happiness. I will only ever buy steel tongue drums from Panda. Shipping may take a bit longer, but it is worth the wait!
My Husband and l have both drums. The large one for us and the small one for our grand children. The oldest grand child is 5 years old.

My seven-year-old grandson is loving his panda drum and grateful that we got a second set of sticks.
They do not create the sound I was looking for. I don't know if a slightly larger and denser head would work better
I was hoping for the original rubber mallets. Not a fan of the felt ones.
First ones shipped came with three pieces to the package -- since the felt came off the stick. I was disappointed in the quality. Sarah made all the important apologies and had another set shipped to me. With all the money you spend on commercials, you might put some into making quality mallets. My ride with panda has not been a pleasant one. + Sarah promised me that she would take me off the mailing list. Panda is getting very predictable. I'm still on the mailing list. Sarah try desperately to make everything right, but it seems she's fighting the losing battle with the people that are above her pay grade.

I purchased for my grandson - the original wooden mallets were like nails on a chalk board. I ordered the felt to replace and one of your reps also ordered them for me! I only received one set however. I purchased it because my grandson comes to my home and wants to play my RavVast drum. As a sound bath facilitator the RavVast brand is my drum of choice. My grandson does love it and his parents have told me he is drawn to it (and they direct him to it) when he needs to regulate his behavior to indoor activity.

The rubber mallets make a better sound on the mini than the felt ones
We wanted softer mallets for the small drum as the originals seemed to provide a tinny sound and these work well.
The first ones -white felt mallets-arrived with one of the heads coming off was sent another one -- that one arrived Initial reaction Why was this mallet head flat? It came in a bag, not a box not even one of those triangle cardboard things to protect the mallets My research suggests take good care of your mallets. Don't just keep them on a flat surface. These came in an envelope type thing and were lopsided If panda cares about drums and the sound you would think that you would be able to ship a mallet so it is in pristine shape on arrival My dealing with panda has been a long long nightmare Started June 1. Perfect world I would've returned the drum, but I didn't know whether I would get my money back in my lifetime And for anybody that has had a totally different good experience I am truly happy for you
Original mallets are so much better. These are too soft. Getting the high three and two tongues to ring are much more difficult with these. On the other notes - The sound is less clear with less attack sustain. Much Less dynamic than the original. I tried reaching out to Panda drum to source the originals. (My used drum only came with one) but never heard back…
